ABOUT ME
I’m amateur photographer based out of Laguna Beach. For 28 years I made my living as a stained glass artist before closing my glass studio in 2008 to pursue photography full time. Yes I’ve changed my medium, but I’m still enamored with the play of color and light. Photography has re-energized my creativity and expanded my palette. It gets me out of the studio, chasing after light with it's many moods, discovering the beauty and unique personality of every person I meet, and enjoying the challenge and delight of each new photo session.

I prefer to shoot using natural light, especially in the early morning or later afternoon towards sunset when the light is the most flattering. Most of all, a portrait session should be as stress free and fun as possible, mixing posed images with candid, natural moments.


A PORTRAIT SESSION INCLUDES:

* A 1 hour or more photography session
* CD of all edited images (50-100 )
* An Online Slide Show of at least 25 images

RATES:

* 1 person $95
* 2 people $145
* 3 people and up $165
* Large groups $195


WHAT TO EXPECT FROM YOUR PHOTO SESSION:

Starting with any location of your choice in Laguna Beach*, a one hour photography session of posed and candid images. I then edit the images shot...for example cropping, removing pimples, adjusting the color and contrast, even softening wrinkles.

I chose at least 25 of my favorites photos which are uploaded to my website where they can be view individually or in a slide show. Plus ALL the images are mailed to you on CD. With this exchange, you own partial right to the copyright and can print out as many images as you wish, or copy the CD for friends and family.

Preparation: A good night's rest, wear simple clothing that you feel attractive and comfortable in. Make sure you are not hungry, have a healthy snack before hand and be sure to drink plenty of water...even bring some with you.

ENGAGEMENT AND COUPLES
Any place, anywhere you can imagine. These are always fun! We'll talk about what to wear...simple is always best so that your clothes don't distract from your love.


FAMILY AND GROUPS
I like groups to coordinate, but not match, with colors that complement each other. I find it’s harder to differentiate between a group of all white-clad or black shirted people, but those classics work too.


BABIES AND CHILDREN
When you hire me, I come to the location of your choice to photograph your family. With small children and infants I find sessions in the home or surrounding yard work best to make them feel comfortable. I find they are less shy and more likely to interact with me when they are in familiar settings. With older children it’s sometimes fun to explore new settings to add to the back drop of the images.


SPORTS AND ACTIVITIES
Surf, skimboard, sailing, football, golf, baseball, hiking, volleyball, you name it!


PARTIES AND EVENTS
Birthdays, Showers, family parties, holidays, any moment you want to preserve.


WEDDINGS
Daytime only and willing to help couples on a limited budget. Please contact me for rates. I also know many excellent wedding photographers and I'm more then happy to give recommendations.
